Very British

I stamped these images out some time ago and had the inspiration today to put them together. The images are from Indigo Blu “pomp and pageantry”. Several of my family are no longer living in the UK so when I found this set I could immediately see some use for the ex-pats in my family among others.

I cut a cream card blank and inked the background lightly with China blue distress ink and then used a newspaper print stamp in the same colour to start my background. Into this mix I used some of the Tim Holtz stamps I had with the weathered wood distress ink and slowly built up a background I was happy with. Then I added some distress ink to the stamped images so that they would tone in and mounted these up onto the card. It quite subtle colours but I love this card.

I’d like to enter this for the following challenge:

Creative Crafters challenge #1
