#457 CRAFT challenge – Sketch

Head over to CRAFT challenge to join the latest challenge using the Sketch that Jo has created for this challenge. The sponsor this week is Digital Papercraft.

For this challenge I cut a card blank 5.5″ x 7″ and inked around the edges with tattered rose distress ink. To add depth I also used the same colour ink through one of the John Next Door stencils Quatro Flourishes. I used my chameleon pens to colour the main image and then inked and stenciled around the edges of this again with the tattered rose distress ink. I mounted this onto a grey mat. Found a sentiment I was happy with and stamped that in stone grey stayz on ink and inked with the same distress ink. To fit the brief I also needed a strip towards the bottom of the main image and some focal detail to the top right of the card. I raided my stash to find come co-ordinating papers and used the grey from the mat to create a strip and found some buttons which fitted the colour theme to finish off.
