I had the cityscape and the trees sitting already cut out in my stash and created an inked background for them to be displayed against. I knew I wanted a moon so I die cut a circle out of a post it note to mask off that area before starting to ink. Using yellow behind and just above the buildings, I hope you’ll agree, gives that ambient city glow of light in a dark sky. When I took away the mask I added some ink into the moon but left a white glow around the edge to set it off. As a finishing touch I also added some stamped birds flying past the moon.
