A friend asked me to make a card that was different for a 50th wedding anniversary party that she was going to. I know the couple and they are so sweet together that I thought this cutting file was fitting for them.
This is a Tattered Lace cutting file which I cut as a silhouette. I also used the outline from the cutting file to create an oval exactly the right size for behind the silhouette. The oval I inked with distress oxide inks so that it looks like a sunset. For the sentiment I used my foil quill (which I figured out does a much better job with a draw pressure which is really low). On the outside of the card I’ve also added a foiled 50 and on the inside the card I’ve added ‘Happy Anniversary’. The card blank and the foiled pieces were then sprayed with gold crafters companion sparkle spray.
