I’m back making another Christmas card again in March…. It is cold enough to make me think its the right time of year for Christmas. Maybe next month it will be warmer?
For the DT challenge this week the sponsor for trimmies CRAFT challenge #670 is All Dressed Up (ADU). The theme this week is “Christmas”. Each week we invite you to join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge going with the theme.
So here’s a summary of the materials used to make the card:
- Digital image from ADU
- High tack glue
- Base card – 300gsm
- Coloured pencils
- Glamour dust
- Background paper
- Pencil and paper stumps for shading
- Sentiment strip
I love this digital image and have used it before. It doesn’t take much colouring, but is coloured with coloured pencils and cut to a square topper. It helps that polar bears are white I guess!! I’ve chosen some subtle colours which tone in with the background paper that the image is matted onto. To add some sparkle to the image (as it is Christmas) I used a quickie glue pen and some glimmer dust.
I hope that you feel inspired and it would be lovely to read your comments. Please let me know whether this has inspired you!

Great to see your creativity and passion for card-making even outside of the Christmas season! The use of subtle colors and glitter dust adds a lovely touch to the digital image. Keep up the great work!
