The sponsor for the CRAFT challenge #616 is Doctor Digi and the theme is gift box/bag. Each week we invite you to join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge going with the theme.

The Doctor Digi image I chose to use was these two fabulous ducks and the digital image is called “Quakers”. I’ve used it a few times before as it just seems to be one of those images that lends itself to multiple occasions.

So here’s a summary of the materials:

  • Black and white polka dot 300gsm A4 sheet cut and folded to make a box
  • Doctor Digi digital image “Quackers”
  • Chameleon pens
  • Tacky glue
  • Happy birthday stamp
  • tag and ribbon
  • Distress oxide inks

Sparkly penguins!

Christmas isn’t far away now, and I know some of you will be thinking enough already, but actually I feel that after everything everyone has been through it will be nice if we can have a normal Christmas this year.

The sponsor for the CRAFT challenge #617 is ADU and the theme is Christmas. Each week we invite you to join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge going with the theme.

This is more of a contemporary Christmas card with the bright coloured hats and scarves and the dotty base card. I coloured this image with some coloured pencils this time as not everyone has fancy pens or watercolours so now and again it’s nice to show different colouring mediums.

The snow effect was achieved with some fake snow and also some glitter glue so there is some texture as well as sparkle.

So here’s a summary of the materials:

  • Grey and white polka dot 300gsm A4 sheet folded to make a base card and cut to size
  • All Dressed Up (ADU) penguins digital image
  • Colouring pencils
  • Iridescent glitter glue
  • Fake snow
  • Tacky glue
  • Black card as a mat, slightly larger than the focal image
  • Christmas Wishes sentiment

As always it’s lovely to see that you’ve stopped by to leave a comment. Thank you.

CRAFT challenge #608

Welcome to this weeks challenge at Trimmies Craft Challenge the sponsor for this challenge is ADU.

The theme this challenge is Wedding/Anniversary. I chose the image of the cake and coloured it in simple elegant colours. To work with the image I’ve chosen a sentiment with says what a wedding should be and mounted these onto an opulent dry embossed background.

I’m looking forward to seeing your entries, so let’s see what you can do and thank you for stopping by.

CRAFT challenge #601

Welcome to this weeks challenge at Trimmies Craft Challenge is for an easel card and our sponsor this week is ADU.

I chose this cute image and used coloured pencils to colour it. I then decided to frame the image with a CCW die which I’ve not used yet. It’s a really lovely sized die which frames the image well and is shown off well with the deep red card complimenting the red in the flowers.

I’m looking forward to seeing your entries, so let’s see what you can do!

CRAFT challenge #585 – Love/Valentines

Welcome to this weeks challenge at Trimmies Craft Challenge is on for one week and the theme for this challenge is Love/Valentines. The sponsors for this challenge are All Dressed Up.

This gorgeous girl is coloured with Chameleon pens (NU1, PK2, NU00, NG4, PK3, GR1, NU2, BR1, WG3) and Nuvo pen 487. I felt the sentiment stamp “all you need is love” summed up the love/Valentine theme for this challenge. I rounded the corners of my topper and inked it in a toning colour, rounded the corners of the silver mat and mounted it onto a floral card to set off the flowers in her hair.

Let’s see what creations you come up with – there are always some fabulous ideas out there. Good luck!

CRAFT challenge #578 – Winter

This weeks challenge at Trimmies Craft Challenge is on and our sponsor this time is All Dressed Up. These challenges keep you going when you have a lot on yor mind. Crafting can absorb you and help with mindfulness. So let’s see what Winter themed projects to can come up with this week.

CRAFT challenge #569 – Wedding Anniversary

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge. Our sponsor this time is All Dressed Up.

This digital image made me smile. It makes me think that some people are made to be together and work together. These love birds certainly seem to be working together.

I’ve coloured this image with Chameleon pens and then added a stamped sentiment and stamped corner flourish. I cut the topper to fit onto a scalloped DL card blank and rounded the corners. With the mauve chameleon pen I edged the topper to give it a little bit of definition.

I hope that you like this pretty card, and I hope the special couple like it too.
