CRAFT challenge blog hop – 13th May 2021

Good Morning All and a Very Happy 12th Birthday to us all here at CRAFT Challenge!!

This year we are 12 years old already and still going strong. Only one team member has been present from the start, Jo. Jo says: I have seen a lot of team members come and go over these 12 years, but all have been fabulous and very talented. I feel honoured to be working with such talented and lovely people. Even though my time is limited these days, I still love being part of this team.

If you feel you would like to join our fabulous team, then just have a look at our DT Call page, which will inform you of any openings on the team. Or simply get in touch with us and let us know.

And now it’s time for our birthday celebrations. This week our challenge is

Birthday! (What else could it be?) Anything that fits in with this subject, qualifies for entering this challenge.

There is a maximum of 1 entry per person for this challenge and as always it needs to be recent (new) work (so created and posted after this challenge has started). Although we love to see your work, it would put those contestants that put more than 1 entry in at an unfair advantage. The same limitation exists for the prizes to be won on the blogs of our DT members.

Please also turn word verification off as this makes leaving a comment on your lovely creations much easier. We will not leave a comment if you have word verification switched on.

Here is an alphabetical list of the fabulous sponsors for our Blog Hop, all loyal supporters of our challenge blog:

The rules this year are very simple:

1. Make a project for this challenge and we will put your entry in the random draw for the prize from Sweet n Sassy.

2. Visit the blogs of our DT and enter their Linky or their comments if no Linky is in place to be put in the random draw for the prize on their blog.

3. As always, we will choose the Top 3 as we do every week and this week each Top 3 will win a prize too.

You should have come here from Brenda’s Blog and  your next stop is  Marlene’s Blog

CRAFT challenge #574 – Memories

This weeks challenge at Trimmies Craft Challenge is on! Our sponsor this time is Bugaboo Digi Stamps.

This cute little guy is thinking about someone which to me made me think of a memory that they had hence why I chose it. It’s coloured with Chameleon pens (GR2, GR1, BV2, BL2, NG4, YO3, BL3, VO2). The coloured image has been matted and layered for quite a CAS card.

TTCRD anything goes challenge – 7th April 2020

Come and join us for the latest challenge from Through the craft room door (TTCRD). Our sponsor this time is Doctor digi house of stamps and Bugaboo.

This first card is using Quackers from Doctor digi house of stamps.

I love these birds. I’ve used them before. This time I colored them with my Conte water colour pencils I’ve had since the 1980’s. They are still going strong despite their age, just like me! I embossed a branch, coloured it with distress inks and the fussy cut it out and used this as a branch to put the bird in on the bold backing paper from papermania. I absolutely love it and this is the card I just gave to my best friend for her birthday!

The second card I’ve made here is using JJ 29 again from Bugaboo.

Again this is an image I’ve used before too. I used it for my mums birthday and it’s one I’m sure I’ll use again. I have used a different colour pallet this time, colouring this with the following Chameleon pens (BL7, BL4, NU2, NU1, PK3, PK4, VO2, BV2, NU00). I mounted this onto a background I made with my gelli plate and a patterned paper sheet from a papermania paper pad that I’ve had forever!

I hope that you like these two digital stamps as much as I do and that you’ll head over and grab them to add to your stash!

Dream Valley Challenge #221 – Only boys allowed

Come over to the Dream Valley challenge and join us for our latest challenge. Our sponsor this time is Bugaboo Stamps.

For this challenge I have used my Chameleon pens (NG4, NG5, BL7, WG3, OL3, YG3, GR1, BR1, NU00, NU2, GR3) to colour this cheeky chappy. He looks at home playing in the dirt and with the bugs.

I’ve just used simple matting in layering to set this image off and added a stamped sentiment.

CRAFT challenge #533 – Halloween, Thanksgiving, Bonfire night

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge. Our sponsor this time is Bugaboo Stamps.

I really love this it’s kind of Halloween but subtle and the girl looks sassy! Sassy is a word my sister in law in Canada used to describe my youngest daughter and it’s stuck with me.

I used Chameleon pens to colour her and an old sizzix embossing plate which I ran through my cut n boss to emboss the cobweb background. I inked the embossed cobweb with some distress ink just to highlight and add interest. The same ink is what I’ve used around the edge of the image too before mounting it all up and adding the sentiment.

CRAFT challenge #523 – Inspiration Picture

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge. Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps.

I took inspiration from the flowers in the inspiration picture and I really liked this quote too. It was fun to colour with my chameleon pens and the blue background I added with the broken china distress ink.

I would like to enter this into the PIP challenge 1929 – ATG

thank you for the honorable mention PIP!

#489 CRAFT challenge – Winter

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge. Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps.

For this winter challenge I chose to go Christmasy and chose the Christmas glass. All full of baubles to get the Christmas season started. I know I’m a little early but crafters need to start Christmas early otherwise we simply run out of time!

So for this card I chose to combine the glass with some of Chloe’s stamps and dies which I stamped, heat embossed and water-coloured. The glass I coloured with some sparkly pens and then added some glaze over the glass itself.

I mounted this all up to frame the image and set it off.
