CRAFT challenge #607

Welcome to this weeks challenge at Trimmies Craft Challenge the sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Sentiments.

The theme this challenge is summer and this little guy in his tub reminds me of summer evenings relaxing in the hot tub. Lots of bubbles, a towel nearby flowers around. The bubbles sparking in the sun!

The die cut flower frame is from Creative Crafting World and this is the first time I’ve used it along with the mat. The image has been coloured with Chameleon pens and the bubbles glittered with glamour dust onto clear drying sticky glue.

I’m looking forward to seeing your entries, so let’s see what you can do and thank you for stopping by.

CRAFT challenge #595

Welcome to this weeks challenge at Trimmies Craft Challenge the sponsor for this challenge is Crafty sentiments.

The theme of this weeks challenge is “recycling”.

With recycling in mind there is a whole heap of things you could do on your projects.

For this project I chose to use some old bubble wrap to make a background with distress inks. Plus the ribbon is from the packaging of a orchid I had for my birthday last week.

I’m looking forward to seeing your entries, so let’s see what you can do!

CRAFT challenge #576 – tags

Another day another challenge! This weeks CRAFT challenge is tags and I’ve chosen to make this a Christmas tag.

The cute Hootie pair are a digital stamp from Crafty Sentiments and I’ve coloured the image with watercolour pencils. Stamped the postmark around the image and added some distress ink around the edges.

CRAFT challenge #541 – New

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge. Our sponsor this time is Crafty Sentiments Designs.

The theme this time was “new” and although this image would conjure up thoughts of valentines I decided to make it in the theme of a new baby. This is such a cute image that it lends itself to a cute cuddly bear that a new baby would hug.

it is coloured with Chameleon pens (NU2, NU1, PK3, PK4, PK5, NG4, BL2) and Spectrum Noir pens (IG1, IG2, IG4, IG6, IG8, IG10).

Letters to form the phrase “New Baby” were die cut from a strip die I’ve had for ages. To tone in the die cut letters and the hearts which were cut from white card, I used a Versa Colour ink pad (152 Ash Rose).

The image mat was matted onto a background, both with their corners rounded, and these were matted onto the base card.

Dream Valley Challenge #217 – Spots and Dots

Come over to the Dream Valley challenge and join us for our latest challenge. Our sponsor this time is Crafty Sentiments Designs.

For this challenge I’ve chosen to use a combination of Spectrum Noir and Chameleon pens to colour this cute image. The Spectrum Noir pens I used were IG1, IG2, IG4, LV3, LV2, LV1, PL5, PL4, PL2 and the Chameleon pens I used were PK4, PK5, VO4, PR4. I’ve stamped a sentiment onto the corner of the image mat and then drawn some framing lines with a Zig pen. The image and the grey spotted mat are both matted onto black card and then the base card (which is also spotted).

CRAFT challenge #531 – Christmas

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge. Our sponsor this time is Crafty Sentiments.

For this card I’ve combined two things. I’m currently making samples for some demonstration days at The Range to show off some of the Trimcraft products. So I’ve combined the image for this challenge with the products I’ll be demonstrating.

#507 CRAFT challenge – Add a charm

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge. Our sponsor this week is Crafty Sentiments.

I chose to colour Eve for this challenge, I think she’s a wannabe rock star! She is coloured with my Chameleon pens on this occasion. I die cut the image to make it into a topper and put some distress inks around the edge of it. A rock star always has a bit of bling so I drew around the edge of the topper with a nuvo glue pen and rubbed some gold and silver leaf onto the edge. I cut a slightly bigger oval mat from a coordinating card stock.

The sentiment was stamped onto the topper. I then adhered the topper to the mat and attached the charm with a brad through the two layers.

On the card based I used a gold ink pad through a music stencil and then overlaid some distress inks to create a coordinated background and then laid 3 ribbons on top of each other to bring the colours together.

The topper was then added on some silicone glue to raise it slightly.
