Hi everyone. Thanks for stopping by. I can’t believe how fast this year is going by. It’s almost Easter – eek!
On to the DT challenge and the sponsor for trimmies CRAFT challenge #631 is Jan’s Digital Stamps. The theme this week is “Anything Goes”. Each week we invite you to join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge going with the theme.
For this one coloured the image with pencils, cut both the image and sentiment out and mounted them onto some contrasting backing paper. I edged the backing paper with some distress oxide.
So here’s a summary of the materials used to make the card:
Digital image printed
Backing paper from my stash
Colouring pencils
High tack glue
Kitch flamingo distress oxide ink
Card base – 300gsm
I hope that you feel inspired and it would be lovely to read you comments.
Hi everyone. I’m a little late with this post, but better late than never!
On to the DT challenge and the sponsor for trimmies CRAFT challenge #630 is All Dressed Up. The theme this week is “Female”. Each week we invite you to join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge going with the theme.
For this one coloured the image with pencils, and cut the image out to layer onto a background. I inked the background and layered this under a die cut in black. I think it’s quite striking, but allows the topper to still stand out.
So here’s a summary of the materials used to make the card:
Digital image M printed onto super smooth card
Backing paper from my stash inked with distress oxide inks
Colouring pencils
High tack glue
Distress oxide inks
Metal die
Black card
Card base – 300gsm
I hope that you feel inspired and it would be lovely to read you comments.
Hi everyone. Things seem to be getting slightly warmer which is a bonus.
On to the DT challenge and the sponsor for trimmies CRAFT challenge #629 is Star Stampz. The theme this week is “Christmas”. Each week we invite you to join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge going with the theme.
For this one coloured the image with pencils,, and cut the image out from the A4 sheet it was printed on. I edged the rectangle with some creative expressions stamps which are a distressed snowflake border using Weathered Wood distress oxide.

I hope that you feel inspired and it would be lovely to read you comments. Are you making any Christmas cards in March?
Hi there everyone. Are things harder when than they were pre Covid? Part of me thinks that I’m certainly picking up more ailments that are taking longer to get over? That’s just my observation today!
On to the DT challenge and the sponsor for trimmies CRAFT challenge #628 is Dr Digi House of Stamps. The theme this week is “Not a card”. Each week we invite you to join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge going with the theme.
Not a card kept me thinking for a while on this one. When we choose our images we sometimes have something in mind and other times we don’t. Sometimes we change what we decided upon, or we can’t think of what to do, or we simply forget!
For this one I had the image coloured, but was then ill with a sickness bug for about 4/5 days before the challenge was due. The night it was due I got the inspiration and it just came together. Ideally I could have done more, and I will one day, but right now I’m at least happy that I’ve completed the project!
So here’s a summary of the materials used to make the card:
Digital image from Dr Digi’s House of Stamps printed onto super smooth card
Backing paper from my stash created with distress resist spray and distress oxides
Colouring pencils
HB pencil
Paper stump (for blending)
Lace
High tack glue
Picture frame with mount
I printed the digital image onto some super smooth card and coloured the image. The image was coloured firstly with a HB pencil which I blended out. When you do this try and think about where the light is and where something is on top of something else that would also cast a shadow. On top of the pencil I started overlaying the lightest of the pinks, again thinking about the light source. On top of this I added the darker pink and then faded it out with the lighter pink. It’s all about building up the colour, so layer it up (I did this a little more to get the tones).
To finish off I also grabbed a background out of my stash, which I’d made in the past, and along with some lace this gave me a sky and clouds.
I actually love what I’ve made and can’t wait until I get a bit of time to go back in and add to it at some point. Thank you for stopping by, please leave a comment to let me know what you think.

So here’s a summary of the materials used to make the card:
Blue 300gsm base card made from an A4 sheet
Digital image
Stamped and die cut sentiment
Backing paper also from TPS
Snowflake die cut with pixie powders
Sequins
High tack glue
I printed the digital images onto some thin card and cut out the topper image. I also had a large doe cut snowflake which toned in with the colour palette so I added this in between the background layer and the topper.
To finish off I also added a few sequins to add some sparkle. It’s a great image and makes stunning quick cards.

The sponsor for the CRAFT challenge #626 is Oddball and the theme is Love/valentines. Each week we invite you to join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge going with the theme.
So here’s a summary of the materials used to make the card:
White 5×7” 300gsm scalloped edge base card
Digital image
Chameleon pens
Die cut sentiment
Distress oxide ink
Backing paper
I coloured this cute little giraffe with my chameleon pens. I wanted to show that a card for love could be for the birth of a child. Love is all around us.

So here’s a summary of the materials used to make the card:
White 6×6” 300gsm base card
Pink heavyweight paper
Digital image
Chameleon pens
Die cut snowflakes
Snowflake aperture die
Text background stamp
Distress oxide ink
Gems
For this card I stamped the text background stamp onto the base card. I also cut a piece of pink paper to mat onto the base card, and out of this I cut a snowflake aperture. Once I had coloured the digital image with Chameleon pens I cut the deer out. I’ve also distressed the pink paper with text and distress oxide ink to give more of a focus to that panel.

So now that we’ve been back to work for a couple of weeks it’s like the Christmas break never happened. Do you ever feel like that? 😞
The sponsor for the CRAFT challenge #624 is Trimgym, who is the coordinator for our CRAFT challenge group and the theme is Anything Goes (ATG). Each week we invite you to join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge going with the theme.
So here’s a summary of the materials used to make the card:
Cream 6×6” scallop edged 300gsm base card
Digital image
Chameleon pens (BV2, GR1, BL4, VO2)
Bead curtain cling rubber stamp from Stamp Addicts by JudiKins USA
Happy birthday you old bird stamp from Stamp Addicts
Distress Oxide “Stormy Sky”
For this card I stamped the bead curtain onto a spare piece of card to create a topper which I’ve also edged with the ink to give more of a focus to that panel.
Onto another piece of card I printed the digital image of the seahorse, fussy cut it and coloured it with the listed Chameleon pens. I wanted subtle colours and I think that these work well.
To finish off I also added the sentiment “Happy Birthday”, but this was taken from a stamp that actually has a second line which I’ve masked so that this didn’t get inked just leaving the section I wanted to use.
Thank you for stopping by, please leave a comment. X
The digital image I have chosen for this challenge is “Shopping in Yorkshire”. It has been coloured with Chameleon pens. I grounded the shopper and cut an apperture in the blue paper to frame the image. I mounted this onto aa kraft card base to draw out the brown paper bag that she is carrying in the image. Of course in Yorshire it would almost certainly be raining so her umbrella is out! I’ve added dots of glossy accents to the umbrella and also around her to try and emulate the rain.

I hope that you all had a good break over the holidays. I know that I’ve been productive creating samples for the design teams I’m a member of. This post includes the first of those
