Dream Valley Challenge #209 – Autumn colours

Come over to the Dream Valley challenge and join us for our latest challenge. A big thank you to Sheepski Designs for being our sponsor.

The image I’ve used is called “coffee break”. I printed the image into some white card and below the image I stamped the sentiment “Don’t let life ruffle your feathers”. Below this I lined up a die to give the pretty bottom to the topper. I cut this to make it a long section to fit onto the front of a 5×7 kraft card which I inked with some distress oxides. The same oxides I also used around the image to tone the white card I’d printed onto in with the inked base card and the coloured image. I chose some of my Chameleon pens (YO2, BR3, BR1, NU3, NG4, OR3, NU4, YO3, BR5, RD5, BR2, BR4, NU1 and NU00) to colour the image in tones of autumn.

I wanted to give some interest to the background of the card base as inked it just looked too plain. I had some leaves I’d previously cut and coloured in my stash so I inked these with the residual ink on the inkers and them I stuck them down and formed a more interesting background.

I’m entering this into Pammies Inky Pinkies #1936 challenge.

I love this gamer image from Sheepski Designs, our sponsor this time. So many men are gamers these days that would be an excellent digital image to add to you collection.

I coloured in the image with my chameleon pens and cut it out on my scan n cut machine. I stamped the sentiment from a stamp set I have in my stash and inked up the background behind it. The background paper I also added ink to and stamped with the second generation stamping technique so that the background was muted. I mounted the sentiment onto black card to make it stand out. The controller die cut I had in my stash and I just added some rubbing wax to it.

#188 Dream Valley challenge – flowers

Come over to the Dream Valley challenge and join us for our latest challenge! This challenge is using flower digi stamps from Sheepski Designs. I have made two cards using two of their designs.

I have coloured both of the images with Chameleon pens and both backgrounds were made with distress inks but using different techniques. The first card is made using the cling film method and the second was spritzed with water and the dry embossed.
