Chrysanthemum skull, fuchsia and backgrounds.

Hi there, and thank you for stopping by. Today sees Stamp Addicts back on tv and these are some of my samples I’ve made for the show. You’ll also find these on Instagram @d_e_crafts so I hope you’ll follow my creativity and leave a message!

Chrysanthemum skull

The chrysanthemum skull rubber stamp is a deeply etched and as you’ll see it’s very detailed. I’ve used distress inks here to watercolour this image and have added a second layer which is raised as you’ll see below.

In the background you’ll also see the background which is “porcelain”, stamped in black onto grey water-coloured ink.

Another sample with the porcelain background is this one:

More of the skulls and also some of the sentiments from Stamp Addicts

Chrysanthemum skull with lace border

The other stamp for this show is a fuchsia and this one also features another background “papyrus”. For this image I’ve cut several layers of the flower and decoupaged it up to give it some depth.

The last card below also uses the papyrus background as well as some keys which are also Stamp Addicts rubber stamps. Instead of stamping the papyrus as one whole background this time I’ve inked a section and used that section to fill the card from. This gives a more random pattern.

I hope you liked the stamps and the samples. Let me know if you have any questions and I’m happy to let you know what I’ve used and answer any questions.

Thanks for stopping by!

Skully lovers and gothic border

Hi there, I wanted to write a blog post to show you some of the latest stamps I was working with from Stamp Addicts. These were featured in their latest tv show on 29th March 2022 on Create and Craft.

This first card is using “gothic border” which I’ve placed back to back as a focal point down the card. It’s stamped with 3 distress oxide inks to give some interest and variation in colour so that it wasn’t so ‘flat’.

Again using the gothic border we have a simply edged card that would work for a wedding or an anniversary. simple but classy.

Another way of using the border allows you to create a square and looks like it could be corners rather than a border.

Moving on to the Skully lovers I’ve also used the gothic border in the background building up a stamped backdrop with distress oxide inks. I’ve then fussy cut the skulls and flowers as the facial image and raised and shaped this on silicone glue.

And on the inner panel I’ve stamped the border randomly to coordinate.

The image below is a little more dark and looks like it’s got a lace touch to the edges by using the top of the gothic border.

Last but not least, a card using the skully lovers coloured with pencils, mounted onto a black and white rose background put though a heart embossing folder and tinted with red ink.

Let me know what you think and hopefully this has given you some inspiration.

The Gin Bowl 2

Using Chameleon pens (NG4, NU00, OR3, OR4, NU2, BL2, BL3, GR1, YO2) plus a yellow pencil crayon. Along with a flower that I’d got made up in my stash.

The Gin Bowl 3

again this was coloured with pencil crayons.

The Gin Bowl 4 – tag

Coloured with pencil crayons, I applied water around the bowl and tore the bowl out so that there was a ragged edge. I added this to a tag I’d cut out which I’d stamped onto and the laid die cut leaves onto. I cut a hole, painted A sealing layer over the whole thing and threaded ribbon through the tag.

Zebras

I love these zebras. They are part of the African Safari stamps collection along with the Square Postage Frame stamp both from Judikins, and the stamps are produced by Stamp Addicts.

This subtle colouring is achieved with distress inks shabby shutters, dried marigold, picked raspberry and fossilized amber. I masked the outer postage frame and the zebras so the the white stripes remained but the beautiful sky could be made. A while back I did some marbling and I created the background on the card which I thought was perfect to fit with these stamps. To complete the card I added the sentiment “Just for you”.

Design Team cards for Stamp Addicts – using Harmony by Sherry West

These are 3 of the cards I made using Harmony for my first time as a DT member for Stamp Addicts. I was sent 4 stamps to create cards and this is one of the stamps, see my other posts to look at the other cards I created which were featured on Hochanda on Friday 7th February 2020 at 7pm.

1.

This is the first card of three I made with Harmony. She was coloured with Chameleon pens (NU00, NU2, NU3, NU1, CG5, CG8, BL2, NG4, BR1, WG3, GR1, VO2, BL3). The image was cutting out on my scan n cut machine and mounted onto some vellum with a gold honeycomb pattern. The stamps for the phrase “Dream” are from a Papermaina set “Bellissima” alphabet and were used with versamark ink and gold embossing powder. The base card was covered with some paper from a paper mania set. Finishing touches were done using a Sakura jelly roll gold pen.

2.

The second card was coloured with Chameleon pens (YO2, NU2, BR1, NU00, NG4, WG3, NU0) plus new touch markers (134 raw silk, 109 pearl white, 26 pastel peach, 132 milky white, 107 sand). The image was cut into a square topper, inked around the edge with Distress Oxide ink pumice stone, mounted onto black and a backing paper. Finally the sentiment “dare to dream” was added to the topper.

3.

The third card was again coloured with Chameleon pens (WG3, WG7, CG5, BR1, NU2, BL2, PK2, VO2, NU00, NG4). The image was again cut into a square topper and inked around the edge with Distress ink seedless preserves. A background was also stamped in the same ink with Elizabeth craft designs planner essentials – patterns1.
