CRAFT challenge #524 – Christmas

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge. Our sponsor this time is QKR Stampede.

I chose this cute stuffed reindeer for this Christmas challenge. As you may have seen before I like to make cards in colours that aren’t traditional Christmas colours. I wanted to use the backing paper I had so I chose Chameleon pens to compliment the backing paper. Normally I colour and try and find a backing paper, but this worked well as I wasn’t searching through hundreds of papers to find the right one!

I don’t know about you but I find that snowflakes are a staple that I keep to hand as I make Christmas cards throughout the year for design team challenges. I have a mini draw with the dies and flakes all ready to go. I can colour tint them or leave them white depending on the project.

I hope you liked my card, please leave a comment, and thank you for stopping by.

Dream Valley Challenge #206 – Christmas in July

Come over to the Dream Valley challenge and join us for our latest challenge!

For this challenge I’ve chosen to use a tattered lace cutting file. I’ve been looking at this file for a while so it was great to have an excuse to use it. My mums favourite bird is a robin and I love them too. This file just gives a crafty twist to the robin.

In the background I’ve stamped with a couple of festive sprigs in two tones of green, and also on the side with a festive word stamp. I love this stamp as it’s simple, but looks great.

#183 Dream Valley challenge – Christmas in July

These little girls are really cute!

I coloured using pencil crayons this time, matted and layered some Christmas papers and used a flourish I’d already got cut in my stash. I just inked up the flourish to tone in with the colours in the image and the ‘present’ paper added a sentiment and they look so cute!
