Come over to the Dream Valley challenge and join us for our latest challenge. Our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Shelter and the theme is Love.

for this challenge the design team were all given one image. It’s amazing how many different creations come from one image. This hopefully gives you some inspiration to take an image and make it your own.

TTCRD anything goes challenge – 28th January 2020

Come and join us for the latest challenge from Through the craft room door (TTCRD) This time our sponsor this time is The Paper Shelter.

The images from The Paper Shelter are always ones that you can print and run with as they come with a background, coloured image layers or they come as a black and white line drawing which you can make your own. I’ve chosen to print this one off with the background and then two more layers so that I could decoupage some of the flowers and the VW camper van. It’s a cool fun summery image which was great to work with. I added the “don’t worry be happy” sentiment as I felt this summered up the care free summery attitude I saw in the image!

To frame this I have used one of the Clarity Stamps Doodleology Square frame stamps which I bought recently. I love them as they are quirky. The twisted strands in the frame stamp were coloured with Chameleon pens (RD2, GR1, GR2, YO3, OR3, NU1, NU4, YO2, PK2).

I’ve included this view so that you can see the decoupage in a little more detail!

I would like to enter this into the following challenge:

Friends we choose…..

This is a card I made with some new stamps I ordered made by Clarity Stamp. I loved them when I saw Barbara Gray demonstrating them. My daughter’s friend is doing A level art and they have been friends since they were at nursery together so I wanted to make something special for her to give to her long term friend. They don’t see each other every day so it’s so nice that they still keep in touch.

I chose to go simple, but I think that it was a really effective card. It is all coloured with the pencil crayons you see in the picture. I hope that you like the card and the stamps too.
