CRAFT challenge #519 – Thank you

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge. Our sponsor this week is Paper Nest Dolls.

When I was making this card I felt that I wanted to make a background. Sometimes you just need to go with your creative flow! So I got some of my pots of cosmic shimmer in the colours that were in my image which I’d coloured with Chameleon pens and made several fabulous backgrounds. This card just uses one of them!

The Chameleon pens I used to colour this image were BL3, YO2, NU0, YO3, NU2, NU3, NU4, NU00, VO2, YL2, BR1, BR4, YG3.

The sentiment is one of the built in words from the CM900 which I cut out 3 times and layered up. The top layer of which I added some of the cosmic shimmer powders to. I love this way of building up the sentiment for more impact.

#186 Dream Valley Challenge – Girlie

Come over to the Dream Valley challenge and join us for our latest challenge! Our sponsor is Paper Nest Dolls and the theme this time is Girlie.

The first of the two cards I have made for this challenge is ‘Cupcake Amara’. I coloured this one in pinks, but because of her blonde hair I went for the background being mainly pink and yellow, with some green thrown in from the foliage. I cut out the lacework type shape and inked it up with distress inks and found the green hexagons in my stash and cut the additional ones to add in. I made the flower too (this is my first attempt) I was pretty pleased. I think it’s quite fresh and vibrant and girlie and I hope you do too.

My next card this week was ‘Daisy Emma’. I am well aware from my daughters that not all girls like pink so I decided to do another card in blues and yellows to show that you don’t have to use pink to be girlie.

So come on over and join in the fun with this challenge!

#470 CRAFT challenge – Come Play Outside

Come join us at trimmies CRAFT challenge our sponsor for this challenge is paper nest dolls.

I love this image! It was a pleasure to colour with my Chameleon pens. I felt that this image needed a simple finish so I die cut it into an oval around the image to give me a topper. I inked around the oval with distress ink (I only wanted a light colour so I just used what was on my blue inker).

Recently I spotted these really pretty little flowers so I lightly inked those too so that they weren’t stark white. I then added a backing paper from my stash.

I hope you like it!
