CRAFT challenge #569 – Wedding Anniversary

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge. Our sponsor this time is All Dressed Up.

This digital image made me smile. It makes me think that some people are made to be together and work together. These love birds certainly seem to be working together.

I’ve coloured this image with Chameleon pens and then added a stamped sentiment and stamped corner flourish. I cut the topper to fit onto a scalloped DL card blank and rounded the corners. With the mauve chameleon pen I edged the topper to give it a little bit of definition.

I hope that you like this pretty card, and I hope the special couple like it too.

TTCRD anything goes challenge – 9th September 2020

Come and join us for the latest challenge from Through the craft room door (TTCRD). Our sponsor this time is Oddball Art.

big eyed mad hatter

This image was great fun to colour! I used my Chameleon pens and then found some distress inks which coordinated to make a background. The block stamp I’ve used in the background is one with a clock which I felt was appropriate and fitted with the mad hatter theme.

I hope you’ll join out challenge thank you for looking x

The Gin Bowl 1

I used pencil crayons to colour this image.

The Gin Bowl 2

Using Chameleon pens (NG4, NU00, OR3, OR4, NU2, BL2, BL3, GR1, YO2) plus a yellow pencil crayon. Along with a flower that I’d got made up in my stash.

The Gin Bowl 3

again this was coloured with pencil crayons.

The Gin Bowl 4 – tag

Coloured with pencil crayons, I applied water around the bowl and tore the bowl out so that there was a ragged edge. I added this to a tag I’d cut out which I’d stamped onto and the laid die cut leaves onto. I cut a hole, painted A sealing layer over the whole thing and threaded ribbon through the tag.

Zebras

I love these zebras. They are part of the African Safari stamps collection along with the Square Postage Frame stamp both from Judikins, and the stamps are produced by Stamp Addicts.

This subtle colouring is achieved with distress inks shabby shutters, dried marigold, picked raspberry and fossilized amber. I masked the outer postage frame and the zebras so the the white stripes remained but the beautiful sky could be made. A while back I did some marbling and I created the background on the card which I thought was perfect to fit with these stamps. To complete the card I added the sentiment “Just for you”.

I would like to enter this into the

Allsorts challenge 564 – Anything from the animal kingdom.

YNS challenge 135 – cute critters

CRAFT challenge #548 – Weather

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge. Our sponsors this time is Sheepski Designs.

For this challenge I used Chameleon pens (PK4, BL4, BV2, BL2, WG3, NU2, PK3, YO2, RD4, YO3, VO2, NG4, BL3, YL2, GR1, GR2, YG3, OR3, OR4) plus Distress inks Antique Linen and Tumbled Glass.

I chose to carry this into the inside of the card.

I split the sentiment into two so that it would flow from the front into the inside of the card. I felt this flowed since it was on the inside of the card!

Ride your bike!

This was a birthday card for a guy at work and I was really pleased to hear him say my talents are wasted at work when I spoke to me and thanked me for his card.

The Paper used here is one from The Enjoy your ride 12 x 12 paper pack &there’s more from The Range. I added some Distress Oxide ink in Soot Black to the edges on the paper and also added some techy 1’s and 0’s around the edge of the card using Creative Expressions Stamp by Andy Skinner called Enigma. He’s been bought a Love Island water bottle by a female colleague, but he doesn’t watch, so I ironically added his name just like on the water bottle to the front of the card…… so funny – he even felt the need to tell me he didn’t watch the programme which of course I knew! To complete the theme I also made a matching envelope from the same paper pack.

Abbie’s 21st birthday

A card for my daughters friends birthday who is 21 today.

The background I made a while ago, on one of those days when you are playing and creating backgrounds. This time I had been playing with brusho. I put my background through an embossing folder and then used some pearl lustre cosmic shimmer metallic gilding polish over the top. I cut the 21 from the same background paper but inked it with a distress ink salty sea to darken it slightly and then used guiding flakes to accent the numbers. The lady, which is a Kanban stamp, was coloured with Chameleon pens NU00, BL3, WG3, NU2, BR1. As this was for a birthday I stamped a happy birthday sentiment and mounted both this and the image into some pale gray adorable scoreable card.

Dream Valley Challenge #219 – Hand coloured image

Come over to the Dream Valley challenge and join us for our latest challenge. This week we could use images we had in our own stash.

img_7595

The main focal image is by Stamps by me from the Thanks for everything A5 stamp collection. I stamped this onto one of the Tattered Lace nested note papers dies. I masked the flower I’d stamped and used distress oxidePumice stone to stamp with Elizabeth Craft Designs, planner essentials stamps patterns 2 and I also used the same ink to “smudge” the background a little and soften the background. The flower itself was coloured with Conte water colour pencils and a water brush. To finish I stamped around the backing paper and added a sentiment.

I hope you like my hand coloured card.
