TTCRD anything goes challenge – 28th January 2020

Come and join us for the latest challenge from Through the craft room door (TTCRD) This time our sponsor this time is The Paper Shelter.

The images from The Paper Shelter are always ones that you can print and run with as they come with a background, coloured image layers or they come as a black and white line drawing which you can make your own. I’ve chosen to print this one off with the background and then two more layers so that I could decoupage some of the flowers and the VW camper van. It’s a cool fun summery image which was great to work with. I added the “don’t worry be happy” sentiment as I felt this summered up the care free summery attitude I saw in the image!

To frame this I have used one of the Clarity Stamps Doodleology Square frame stamps which I bought recently. I love them as they are quirky. The twisted strands in the frame stamp were coloured with Chameleon pens (RD2, GR1, GR2, YO3, OR3, NU1, NU4, YO2, PK2).

I’ve included this view so that you can see the decoupage in a little more detail!

I would like to enter this into the following challenge:

#485 CRAFT challenge – sketch

Come and join us at Trimmies Craft Challenge.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Digital Papercraft, and the image is called “Hattie girl”.

This DT challenge was based upon the sketch below.

My image was more rectangular than a square, but hopefully I’ve shown that this doesn’t matter and that s sketch can be interpreted as you wish. I coloured the image mainly in green tones, using my Chameleon pens, as I wanted these to be different to the backing papers so that she would stand out. The zentangle was drawn with the chameleon detail pen.

This image shows more detail of the zentangle and the glittering.

The glittering was using the gorgeous shimmer dust and a quickie glue pen. So simple but so effective!
